That makes me think of this: “The rule was created because FCC thought the stations could easily manipulate the outcome of the elections.”

The notion of equal time needs to be carved into law in all spheres of life. Obviously, people are unwilling and disallowed to hear all points of view, therefore they must be forced to hear all points of view. Equal time in print advertising, equal time in network news, equal time in education.
