When are we going to drop our facile, misguided obsession with economic growth?  Two big problems are 1) what’s good for the GDP is often bad for normal people and 2) there’s no such thing as infinite economic expansion.  Growth comes at the cost of something else.  Sustained economic growth means there is no equilibrium in the larger economic system.
