My comment on Reddit about the audience having the responsibility of critical thinking rather than every speaker out there being expected to be truthful and accurate.

As you can see, people like the guy who responded to my comment expect to be spoon-fed their entire lives and never have to be critical of what is being said or shown to them. Life is not like Full House for God’s sake. It’s an unsafe world with hostile actors. It’s your duty as a citizen to arm yourself with knowledge, wisdom, experience, and set boundaries so that your mind does not become polluted with garbage. I’m guessing he went to public school also which doesn’t help things because our cash-starved, backward public education system does not exactly churn out the highest quality product.
