And “Governor” Phil Bryant is a buffoon. Denial & ignorance (best case) and actively looting your historically suppressed constituency (worst case) are both very grave errors/crimes/sins/mistakes/acts/choices in an actual democracy. As Mr. Wolff points out, the New York Times continues its seemingly proud tradition, one it shares with plenty of other purveyors of truth, of stopping short of assigning blame where it is due and responsibly questioning the premises of this situation.
So now all the non-human animals have to die because humans have failed at living in harmony with their environment.
Scientists seem to hold out hope that there’s still time to avoid catastrophe but it ain’t looking good. Good job, superstitious idiots. I hope you’ve had a fun ride with your season tickets and your Bible and your traditions. I haven’t.
