This really sets the stage for what we are going through right now. Hunter was exactly right about Nixon and all its administration portended for this miserable country. We are now reaping what we sowed back then. This is the price we pay for failing to elect George McGovern. This is the price we pay for not electing Henry A. Wallace. This is the price we pay for not electing Bernie Sanders. This is the price we pay for not electing George Mason. This is the price we will continue to pay until we learn our goddamn lesson. So fucking educate yourself, people. Smarten the fuck up. It’s your responsibility as a citizen of this country. If you decide it isn’t then maybe you should shoot yourself in the head or just leave some other, more graceful way. But you are standing in the way of progress. STFU and GTFO.
This is completely shameful and horrific, a product of historic manipulation by and interference of imperial powers.
Now don’t get me wrong! There should be a public education system that is stellar in every regard. But it is incumbent upon each of us (or at least those of us who want to be able to vote, or make any decisions in the public sphere) to ensure that we have a torrent of diverse information constantly flowing into our brains with which we can make decisions, compare and contrast, reach conclusions, ponder, meditate, etc., resulting in a nuanced, intelligent, wise, well-informed, reasonable, citizen of the world.
And like I said earlier this might not be for everyone. Maybe some people don’t want to put forth the effort or care or attention into doing this for themselves. In that case I would politely request that you refrain from doing anything that would affect anyone else on the planet and get used to accepting the guidance of those who do care to accept this responsibility.
How does that sound?

This references an article I wrote about previously:
As Mr. Wolff points out, the New York Times continues its seemingly proud tradition, one it shares with plenty of other purveyors of truth, of stopping short of assigning blame where it is due and responsibly questioning the premises of this situation.
So now all the non-human animals have to die because humans have failed at living in harmony with their environment.
Scientists seem to hold out hope that there’s still time to avoid catastrophe but it ain’t looking good. Good job, superstitious idiots. I hope you’ve had a fun ride with your season tickets and your Bible and your traditions. I haven’t.

When you do things right this is what happens. 🙂 The price of success, maybe? Too bad the rest of us don’t brighten up and take the load off poor Amsterdam.

Avarice personified. Among other things.
Nice photo though!
