I was reading an article just now about a potential “Democratic reckoning” for Donald Trump after the election results are tallied today.
Let’s be clear, people: if the Democrats were to win back control of Congress it would be an undeserved gift, bestowed upon them by those who are rightly fed up and outraged over the mismanagement of this civilization in the hands of elites of both stripes who live in far away, detached, lost islands of indoctrination while the citizens of this country must toil every step of the way every day of the week. It would be the Democrats’ responsibility to rise to the occasion and show that they actually deserve to have the confidence and faith of the citizenry of the United States of America. And with that must come an avalanche of Democratic humility, erasing any inkling of hubris and superiority on the part of Democrats and every indication that they are done with doing things the old, wrong way, stifling meaningful progress with every cynical, overeducated, milquetoast policy non-proposal.
The right kind of change is going to happen eventually; one way or the other; either the easy way or the hard way; mercifully sooner or painfully later. The Democrats can either help usher in that change or they can continue to protest defiantly while they fade disgracefully into historical oblivion, replaced by a new, socially just movement that we may already be seeing take form.
