I wish we would take "Donald Trump" out of this. Believe it or not, any indoctrinated Democratic or Republican president would be doing the exact same thing right now. Yes, that includes your (not specifically you, @keithellison 😉 ) precious savior, Barack Obama. https://t.co/8DNG1YLtl0— Hank, it'll grow back (@hourback) April 1, 2020

It’s finally happening! 😊
Washington, DC. Tuesday, March 17th 2020I got an email from energy company Pepco today saying that they have “suspended service disconnections” and are “waiving new late payment fees through at least May 1…” When I called American Airlines yesterday in order to cancel my upcoming flights, they told me that I can
EXTREMELY enlightening conversation here. 🙂 If you honestly feel like there are things called “bipartisanship” or “progress” and wish to see them take place in this country, watch this video.
(Move to Amend!!!!!!!!)
Okay, I’m starting from the position of giving all credence to this headline and its subsequent leading paragraphs.
The definition of best and worst is so subjective yet it tracks with the feelings that people seem to have for our recent leaders.
This seems to support the phenomenon that I have observed where the news culture merely discusses the appearance of things rather than the substance of them. It seems like this poll or whatever it is seems to indicate that by its measure people seem to choose presidents based on how well they reflect the idea of what they see America as being. So it is projection, by psychological terms. This is not governance. This is a popularity contest where people pretend to think about things and make decisions and come to conclusions. It is a farce, in fact. People barely see beyond their own eyeballs. How can you hope to imagine a future worth living when you don’t even entertain notions that don’t strike you at the very moment??? You need to sit back and relax and think about things for a while and come up with some ideas worth discussing. And if you can’t do that then then society is your enemy. Which is what we have here. Society is preventing us from sitting back and relaxing and discussing ideas. So our society is fucked and malignant and needs to be expunged. There you have it.
The tech giants should be investing in a rail system in the United States. Electric cars are fine and useful. But it seems like there’s a lot of bang for your buck in a comprehensive rail system. I don’t understand why this isn’t happening already.
In fact I think something like this is necessary if we were ever to have or even pretend to have a unified country.
And if we aren’t trying to become unified then why don’t we break apart into separate, independent nations?
Pick one, for fuck’s sake so we can get on with it!!!
This seems tragic to me. Elizabeth Warren now seems utterly compromised. Maybe her advisors suck. But at the end of the day that doesn’t matter.
Bernie Sanders was and is a solid bet. So is Tulsi Gabbard. They would be glorious leaders of our citizenry, stalwart and ethical human beings with integrity and imagination, moving us forward together, where we need to be.
