Man, this really says bad, bad things about the Democratic Party. :-\ This was a clear, stark choice between a progressive, forward-thinking, unbeholden, plain-spoken candidate and a classic, white-male supremacist, patriarch figure, good guy, good fella, mansplaining, well-moneyed, slickster con man; and New York, a supposed bastion of liberalism picked the con man. Hopefully those actual Democrats, progressives, working people, principled individuals in those flyover states turn out in numbers sufficient not only to defeat the obviously rotten-to-the-core, wicked Republican Party but the self-serving, Wall Street-genuflecting, “centrist”, game-playing insiders within their own party.

Jerry Brown’s Climate Legacy Is Still Being Decided | The Nation

The steps that first-generation leaders like Brown have taken are too small to meet the demands of the moment. Yes, Brown is standing up to President Trump, and yes, he’s done more than other governors have. But when it comes to climate change, it’s physics that we must measure ourselves against—and by that standard, we’re losing.

Stop War Now

Believe it or not, we don’t need to do this anymore. Start holding warmongering human beings accountable for their grievous acts and PREVENT the casual murder of children such as these.

The Off-Track Mentality | Beck Diet Program

This article offers some insight and assistance in finding your way back when you find yourself off your desired path.

This week, Lauren told me that she has felt very off track the last few days. She said that controlling her eating has just felt really hard, and she’s not sure it’s worth it. I discussed with Lauren something I know to be true for myself and virtually all my dieters: that the “Is it worth it?” question is just a product of the off-track mentality. I reminded Lauren that when she’s feeling very on track, feeling very much in control, and feeling like she’s making choices that are good for her, she never questions whether or not it’s worth it because it just so obviously is. It’s only when she’s off track and struggling that she starts to question whether she should put forth the effort to stay on track.

Capitalism is the cause

Check out @profwolff’s Tweet: https://twitter.com/profwolff/status/1031951569154060288?s=09

Calls to reign in the excesses of capitalism; to better enforce laws; to increase oversight; to improve regulation. . . . This is a never-ending mostly centrist crusade to blunt the effects of a brutal and inhumane system that is functioning exactly as intended. The foundations of our system need to change profoundly and along with it what we call capitalism needs to be burned in the crucible of history. If such things as capitalism and industrialism were ever actually necessary in human progress they certainly are no longer and should be banished to the ages before we destroy ourselves, eyes wide open.

Another more timely strike against Mississippi

Feels like it! 😐 One more reason to GTFO.

And “Governor” Phil Bryant is a buffoon. Denial & ignorance (best case) and actively looting your historically suppressed constituency (worst case) are both very grave errors/crimes/sins/mistakes/acts/choices in an actual democracy. I’m hoping for massive amounts of cosmic justice, whether I’m privileged enough to witness it or not. 🙂🕊️♥️🕉️☸️🌍🌌🐢🦄
